Camp Caldecott: 9:00–11:00am
Camp Caldecott was created over 20 years ago by SteppingStone Theatre. In this class, children learn about the value of the Caldecott Medal for Children's Picture Books. Each day the students are introduced to a new book, which has earned either a Caldecott Award, a Caldecott Honor, or was written by a Caldecott-winning author.
This class was designed specifically for 3½–5 year olds. Using creative dramatics, music, and art, our teaching artist and your children will explore the stories and art together each day. This class is great for the shy or outgoing child.
And did we mention? It's a lot of fun!
Each session uses different Caldecott books, so it's great to take more than one, or even the whole summer!
