Journey to a Magical Land + Just Dance & Jug Band

July 16 - July 20, 2018

8:30am - 4:00pm

Unicorns, Trolls, Fairies, Dragons, Mermaids, and Gnomes, oh my! Anything is possible when you journey to a strange new magical land. Use the theme Journey to a Magical Land to create an original play by working collaboratively with your peers on developing the story, setting, characters, dialogue, and staging. Our Teaching Artists help you gain an understanding of theatre as you explore concepts like idea contribution, ensemble work, story structure, character choices, and theatre vocabulary. Perform your play for family and friends on the final day of class!

> Final Performance will be held on Friday at 11:00am.

Just Dance: Each afternoon, learn the foundation of dance and choreography. Basic dance technique, vocabulary, and styles are introduced through warm-ups, exercises, combinations, and games.

Jug Band: Each afternoon, design and construct instruments from found objects. Decide how to make music with your new instrument and combine everyone’s instruments into a true Jug Band.
