“A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…” This wildly popular franchise serves as the catalyst for our class. Using the theme Star Wars: Jedi Academy, collaborate with your peers to create and perform an original musical. Under the guidance our professional teaching artists, gain a deeper understanding of musical theatre as you work together to develop the plot, characters, lines, lyrics, choreography, and staging. Perform your musical for family and friends at the end of camp.
> Final Performance will be held on Friday, June 23 at 3:00pm. >This camp includes 1 hour of supervised lunch & recess. Lunch is not provided.

Create and perform an original play which integrates a specific style of theatre. Discuss & contribute ideas as you collaborate with your peers on developing the story, setting, characters, dialogue, and staging. Our Teaching Artists help you gain an understanding of theatre as you explore concepts like stylistic choices, ensemble work, story structure, character development, and theatre vocabulary. Perform your original work for family and friends on the final day of class!
Each afternoon, expand your theatre know-how in two workshop-style classes. Delve deep into theatre technique which will help inform and enhance your original play as well as your own performance abilities.
