At SteppingStone Theatre we are committed to nurturing the artistic and imaginative lives of all children. Our classes are a great way for students to interact with other students in the community. We believe students are creative beings, and children who have frequent access to high-quality Arts Learning opportunities strengthen their ability to build crucial life-skills in critical thinking, social/emotional development, physical awareness and a sense of Mastery. While emphasizing our core values: creative exploration, mastery, compassion, and healthy self-control.
This class uses SST’s early learner theatre curriculum with a toddler twist! This class is inspired by stories with an interactive art component. We’ll explore visual picture books inspired by the art-making process by Herve Tulle like, Let’s Play, Mix it Up, Press Here, and The Game of Shadows.
“Boldly go where no kid has gone before.” “Do or do not, there is no try” as you adventure through space on a mission to save the galaxy. Encounter extraterrestrials and strange new worlds. Galaxy Defenders are ready for action! Throughout this class young artists collaborate to create an original play using their imaginations & teamwork to develop the plot, characters, dialogue, and setting.
Here’s a question for you – what do our toys do while we’re away? Do you think they go on adventures? Do you think those adventures bring them to Outer Space?! Throughout this class young artists collaborate to create an original play using their imaginations & teamwork to develop the plot, characters, dialogue, and setting.
