Teen classes focus around refining theatre skills in acting technique, stage direction, movement while cultivating rich, collaborative experiences as an ensemble. Teens work together to devise an original performance based on their experiences while identifying universal themes or common social issues to express them through theatre. In a positive and supportive process, teens reflect critically on their work to offer/receive constructive peer feedback on their artistic growth while learning about the larger context of Art on their lives.
Younger teens contribute ideas and accept and incorporate ideas of others investigate multiple perspectives and solutions to staging challenges while sharing leadership responsibilities to develop collaborative goals.
Older teens use research and script analysis to revise physical, vocal, and physiological choices impacting the believability and relevance of a drama/ theatre work.
