The LEAP Stage at SteppingStone Theatre offers teen artists of all experience levels an opportunity to be immersed in the art of making theatre. LEAP is more than a camp or class: it’s an unforgettable artistic experience. Students spend 6 weeks in rehearsals, skill building workshops, technical theatre intensives, and 16 public performances – all supported by professional artists and educators.

LEAP TECH TRACK
Calling all student technicians! LEAP Offers Technical Students ages 14 and older an opportunity to work alongside professional designers and technicians to build skills in set design, construction, costuming, hair & makeup, and stage management.

THEATRE LEARNING IN GRADES 7-12 LOOKS LIKE:
Sharing leadership responsibilities throughout the program’s process
Using research, critical analysis, background knowledge, and cultural context to develop character relationships, enhance physical and vocal choices, and inform the believability and relevance of work
Practice various performing arts techniques to refine theatrical skill-sets
