MONDAY APRIL 4: ALIEN INVASION!

A fleet of space aliens have charted a course for Earth! Will Earth’s intrepid Galaxy Defenders be able to intercept the alien’s mission in time to save the planet? Create and perform a deep-space play in just ONE DAY. Spend the day collaborating on a story, creating characters, and designing backdrops & props. At the end of the day, perform your play for family and friends!

TUESDAY APRIL 5: ROCKET TO THE MOON

Join SteppingStone Theatre and the Science Museum of Minnesota as we rocket to the moon! First, you must complete Astronaut Training with your fellow crew members, as you work together through a series of training challenges that will sharpen your skills in collaboration and creative thinking. Next, you must be fitted for your space gear! Design your astronaut helmet, suit, and equipment using art materials. Once you’re trained and outfitted, construct your Moon Rover out of Legos using basic engineering principles. Then it’s time to blast-off! As you step onto the moon’s surface, you’re startled by an unexpected squuiiish beneath your moon boot- alien slime! You must examine this slime in your isolation lab to determine where in the galaxy it came from.

WEDNESDAY APRIL 6: COSMIC DANCE PARTY

Throw the best dance party in the galaxy for all of your extraterrestrial friends! Create your cosmic party characters by designing masks & headpieces that glow. Bring these creatures to life through theatre exploration focused on improvised scenes and creative movement. Dance in-character as you learn choreography to stellar songs. Before the party commences, design festive decor using glowing art materials. Finally, cue the black lights and have a blast dancing all afternoon long! This party will be the talk of the universe and remembered for lightyears to come!

THURSDAY APRIL 7: MISSION: MARS

SteppingStone Theatre and the Science Museum of Minnesota are sending you on a mission to Mars. Engineer an exploratory craft to learn about the planet & atmosphere. Use basic chemistry to analyse alien rock samples collected from your landing sites. Once you’re satisfied with your research, step into this beautiful martian world. Use art materials that glow to design the scenery around you. Create soundscapes using your voice and instruments to tell stories of the land. Work with your crew to build a shelter out of basic construction materials, as the beings who inhabit this world become curious about your presence on their planet...

FRIDAY APRIL 8: INTERGALACTIC SPACE ADVENTURE

Transform our theatre into the cosmos-- full of constellations, comets, dwarf planets, and space stations! Spend the day creating an intergalactic ambience as you design & construct out-of-this-world environments using art materials. Learn how to set an otherworldly atmosphere using sound design principles. Populate these worlds with extraterrestrial  inhabitants by exploring acting exercises and scene creation. At the end of the day, family & friends will enjoy an opportunity to journey through your outerspace odyssey.

Payment plan available: $50.00 deposit plus 4 payments of $101.25, paid every four weeks
