Wizarding World + Character Creation & Movement/Dance – Downtown Campus

You’ve read the books! You’ve seen the movies! Now it’s time to create your own Hogwarts Story! Create and perform an original play based on the theme Wizarding World! Work collaboratively with your peers to develop the story, setting, characters, dialogue, and staging. Throughout the process-driven class experience, engage in theatre games and activities to hone your artistic skills. Perform your play for family & friends on the final day of class.
> Final Performance will be held on Friday at 3:00pm.
Movement/Dance: Each afternoon, learn the foundation of dance, choreography, and how to move in new & creative ways. Basic dance & movement technique, vocabulary, and styles are introduced through warm-ups, exercises, explorations, combinations, and games.
Character Creation: Each afternoon, learn how to bring characters to life through a series of warm-ups, games, and exercises. Examine how physicality & vocal choices can enhance character motivations & intentions.
> There will be no final performance for these workshops.
> Included in this program will be one hour of supervised lunch and recess in addition to a morning & afternoon snack break. Please pack a lunch, water bottle, and two snacks.
> Extended Care is not available for this program.
