Diary of a Wimpy Kid – Musical

September 21 - November 16, 2019

9:30am - 12:00pm

Saturdays, September 21 – November 16

(No class October 19)

There’s nothing wimpy about creating your own, original Diary of a Wimpy Kid MUSICAL! Using Diary of a Wimpy Kid as inspiration, collaborate with your peers to create and perform an original musical which incorporates original songs and choreography. Discuss & contribute ideas as you collaborate with your peers on developing the story, setting, characters, dialogue, and staging. Our Teaching Artists help you gain an understanding of theatre as you explore concepts like stylistic choices, ensemble work, story structure, character development, and theatre vocabulary. Throughout the process-driven creative class experience, you’ll engage in theatre games and activities that hone your artistic skills. Perform your original musical for family and friends on the final day of class!

> Final Performance: Saturday, November 16 at 11:30am on the Main Stage
> What to bring & wear: Please pack a water bottle and small snack. Come dressed to move with close-toed shoes.
