Calling all dinos: are you hankering for space to tromp and roar? Join teaching artist, Kiera Stegall for dino discovery! Your young artist will use their imaginations to lumber through Jurassic swamps and soar through the sky with pterodactyl wings. They will learn theatre foundations like physicalizing characters, story sequencing, singing, moving, and using everyday materials to create dino-inspired art. Together they will share their favorite activities, character explorations, songs, and scenes for family and friends. This class includes a kit of open-ended props and a set of art materials for all of our dino-doings.

TEACHING ARTIST

Kiera Stegall

An animated storyteller and educator, Kiera has more than fifteen years of experience working with children from birth through upper elementary school. After years of professional storytelling, Kiera joined the world of children’s theater. Encouraging the creativity and imagination of children, she loves bringing characters and stories to life on stage. Using process art, devised theater concepts, and children’s literature, Kiera cultivates a creative and supportive environment where all children are welcomed as artists and actors. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in spirituality and the arts while serving as a Director of Children & Family Ministry in the Twin Cities.
