💻 Grades 7-12: Documentary Theatre Project
Do you want to stand at the intersection of social impact & theatre to discover unheard perspectives around a common story? Join director, Kivan Kirk for a deep dive into Documentary Theatre, a performance development process that is a powerful catalyst for conversation, examination, and social action. You and your cohort of teen artists will select a topic or issue so that you can identify subjects to interview or research and devise a script based on your findings. Together, your cohort will present our collaborative theatre piece to be recorded and edited to share with friends and family.Â
Related Documentary Theatre Sources to Reference: Fires in the Mirror, The Laramie Project, Come From Away, and Cornerstone Theatre Company.

THIS EVENT IS PAYA
This class costs $350 per student for us to put on. During this trying financial and emotional time for families, SteppingStone programs are Pay-As-You’re-Able. If you can afford full price programming or to help support other families’ attendance, we will be able to provide more programming that provides joy, hope, and connection to young people at a price they can afford through the COVID Crisis.
