OVERVIEW

She Kills Monsters is an action-packed, surprisingly breezy, high-energy comedy with tons of heart.

When conventional high schooler Agnes Evans loses her sister, Tilly, in a car crash, she must confront the fact that she knows very little about her eccentric younger sibling.  Filled with guilt, Agnes discovers Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, which sends her on a journey into her sister’s lively imagination – filled with crazy fairies, nasty ogres, and lots of epic battle scenes. In Tilly’s world, Agnes must confront not only the monsters of the game, but also those of her own making. A shout-it-from-the-rooftop celebration of geekdom, youth-power, embracing your identity, and 90’s pop-culture, She Kills Monsters is an action-packed, surprisingly breezy, high-energy comedy with tons of heart.

Ideal for ages 13+
This production will be double-cast, with each cast performing twice.

All ticket sales are final. SteppingStone does not provide refunds for unused tickets for any reason. She Kills Monsters contains scenes which broach subject-matter on death, bullying, and LGBTQ* identity, in addition to some mild language. The script depicts several scenes with fight choreography (in the style of Dungeons & Dragons), for which students will be trained in basic stage combat. We believe the content of the script is relevant to the reality middle & high school students face, and will be creating a safe space in which to explore the subject matter. Some cuts/alterations will be made to the script regarding content, as we deem appropriate.
